Ringreven Vardy tilbake i England – klar for Burnley

Jamie Vardy (39) skal spille for Burnley i den engelske mesterskapsserien denne sesongen.
Vardy var i sommer ferdig i italienske Cremonese, og han har brukt tid på å finne sin neste klubb. Søndag ble det klart at han returnerer til England.
Vardy var i flere år en av Premier Leagues hvasseste spisser. Han hjalp Leicester til Premier League-tittelen i 2015/16, og han fikk i alt 200 mål på 500 kamper i klubben.
Han var ferdig der i fjor sommer og signerte deretter for Cremonese. Nå er Burnley neste stopp.
– Hans erfaringer og lederskap vil bli svært verdifullt for laget vårt. Vi tror han kan påvirke oss godt, sier trener Nicky Hayen.
Burnley rykket ned fra Premier League sist sesong og har fått en brutal start på inneværende sesong. Laget ligger helt sist med to uavgjort og tre tap så langt.

Bell Wins Darlington Southern 500
