There Are No Ghosts at The Grand delas upp i tre kapitel

Utvecklaren Friday Sundae har varit mycket tydlig med lanseringsplanerna för There Are No Ghosts at The Grand och har hela tiden framhållit att spelet ska släppas någon gång under 2026. Nu när vi har kommit in i årets sista tredjedel och det fortfarande saknas ett fastställt lanseringsdatum kanske du undrar om planen fortfarande gäller. Det gör den. Vi fick faktiskt möjlighet att återigen prata med creative director Anil Glendinning på Gamescom för att få mer information om det kommande spelet och hur lanseringsplanerna egentligen ser ut.

Glendinning förklarade inledningsvis att There Are No Ghosts at The Grand ska delas upp i tre "Chapters" med Early Access/Game Preview. Det första ska släppas mot slutet av året, följt av Chapter 2 någon gång under första kvartalet 2027, medan Chapter 3 är planerat till slutet av 2027. Glendinning sade:

"With Early Access, players will be able to play the story in a linear way. So we'll have Chapter 1 dropping in December, and then in the first quarter, I suppose, of 2027, Chapter 2, and then towards the end of next year, the final chapter, Chapter 3."

Glendinning tillade att Chapter 1 blir en ganska omfattande upplevelse med 22 uppdrag, eller avsnitt, att ta sig igenom, "which wraps up a lot of mysteries, a lot of questions, and a lot of answers. And by the end of that, you'll discover why there are no ghosts at The Grand."

Vi frågade även om Chapter 3 ska sammanfalla med slutet på Early Access-perioden och spelets fullständiga 1.0-lansering, varpå Glendinning svarade att "yes, I think that's probably fair to say."

Eftersom lanseringen fortfarande är planerad till december 2026 frågade vi även efter ett exakt datum. Glendinning avslutade med:

"When we say an exact date, it's likely to be the first week or so of that. But it's really important, I think, particularly for indie devs, to pay close attention to what else is releasing around that period, so you can find a nice time slot. So a little bit closer to the time when we can find a nice landing spot for the game, that's when we'll kind of drop it in December. But we know people are going to be super busy in December with that little thing called Christmas and that other little thing called Grand Theft Auto."
